Register for the Civil Service Council bus trip to Schaumburg

The Civil Service Council is planning a shopping trip via charter bus to Woodfield Mall and IKEA in Schaumburg on Saturday, Dec. 5.

Departure time from the Bone Student Center at Illinois State University is set for 7:30 a.m. with arrival at Woodfield Mall at 10 a.m. and at IKEA at 10:15 a.m. A courtesy baggage pickup time has been arranged to stow packages under the bus at 2:30 p.m. The evening departure from IKEA is scheduled for 5 p.m. with pick up at Woodfield Mall at 5:15 p.m.

Cost for the trip is $24 for faculty, staff, retirees and students, and an Illinois State ID may be required when boarding for those signed up at that rate. The non-Illinois State community members cost is $28, with children 17 years of age or younger at $14. Participants are encouraged to bring snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. However, no glass containers are allowed, and all items must fit under the bus seat.

To reserve your seat(s), download the registration form found on the Civil Service Council Web site and send it along with a check made payable to the “ISU Civil Service Council” to the address on the bottom of the form. The trip is first-come, first-served so don’t delay in sending as the buses will fill fast.

Forms must be received no later than the end of the day on Nov. 19 Questions can be directed to capfoff@ilstu.edu, cscouncil@ilstu.edu or any Council representative.

NOTE: Cancellations are accepted with a full refund until Nov.13. After Nov. 13, substitutes are allowed, but must make up any price difference if not from the Illinois State University community.
