Three music faculty members at Arizona State University – oboist Martin Schuring, clarinetist Robert Spring and bassoonist Albie Micklich – comprise Ocotillo Winds, which will perform in a free concert at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, in Kemp Recital Hall.

The trio, which has been touring and performing for the past three years, has appeared in concert throughout the U.S., and also has been featured as clinicians in universities and at music educators conferences.

Schuring has held orchestral positions with the Hong Kong Philharmonic, The Florida Orchestra and the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra.  Spring has been described by music critics as "one of this country's most sensitive and talented clarinetists.”  Lyman is known throughout the double reed world for his unique programming and dynamic recitals.
