Illinois State Music Alumnus to Present Classical Guitar Recital Oct. 15

Guitarist Cain Budds, a bachelor’s and master’s degree graduate of Illinois State’s School of Music, will present a masterclass at 1 p.m. and recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, in Kemp Recital Hall.  Admission to the recital is $5.  The masterclass is free and open to the public.

Budds, who studied with ISU’s Angelo Favis, received his doctoral degree in classical guitar at Arizona State University, where he also was a teaching assistant and faculty associate.  Budds has taught at several schools in Arizona and currently lives in Laredo, Texas.
