ISU's Carson Varner to Speak at Oct. 25 Global Review

“Capitalism - the World’s Greatest Anti-Poverty Project” will be the topic of Carson Varner at Thursday’s (Oct. 25) Global Review at a different time and place – 5:30 p.m. in room 106 of Schroeder Hall - at Illinois State University.   Admission is free.

Varner is a professor in the Department of Finance, Insurance and Law in the College of Business.  He has been on the ISU faculty since 1975 teaching International Business Law, honors Legal Environment and in the MBA program, where he developed a seminar “Ethical Leadership and Western Taught.” Varner is the author of more than 40 articles and scholarly presentations and has a regular column on contemporary business issues in the Bloomington Pantagraph.

The next Global Review, on Thursday, Nov. 8, will feature author Luke Wilson on the topic, “Barack Obama and the Washington Consensus on Foreign Policy.”  That event will be at the regular Global Review time and place, 7 p.m. in the Eleanor Kong Room in Walker Hall.
