Junior high and high school students from across the state will be competing in problem solving engineering-based challenges during Illinois State University’s seventh annual Technology Day event on Friday, Nov. 16. The event will take place in Illinois State’s Bone Student Center Brown Ballroom from 9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Nearly 100 teams of students in grades 6-12 will compete in hands-on problem solving activities focused on engineering, invention and innovation, medical technology, structural technology and transportation technology. The activities and challenges are based on the National Standards for Technological Literacy.
Technology Day is sponsored by the Illinois-Technology Student Association and hosted by the Technology Education Collegiate Association in Illinois State’s Department of Technology.
