On Saturday, May 3, which is only eight days before Mother’s Day, art students who work at the Illinois State University Glass House will hold their annual glass sale. Blown, cast and flame-worked glass vessels and sculptures will be available at reasonable prices. The sale will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is free.
Half of the proceeds raised will benefit the glass program’s visiting artist fund. For several years, renowned international glass artists have spent a week instructing and working with glass students in the School of Art.
The Glass House is located at the northwest corner of Main and Willow streets in Normal, just north of Hancock Stadium. Parking is plentiful.
