The Institute for Geospatial Analysis & Mapping (GEOMAP) at Illinois State University is offering an additional summer training course on the use of advanced Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software. GEOMAP is now offering “Introduction to ArcGIS I,” the premier training on ArcGIS 9.2 software, on August 14 & 15.
The cost for the two-day training (including all course materials, CDs, and a certificate of completion) is $300 for academic, nonprofit, and government employees and $400 for corporate employees. Interested parties should contact Gretchen Knapp, GEOMAP research associate, at geknapp@ilstu.edu for registration information.
ArcGIS is full-featured GIS software for visualization, creation, management, and analysis of geographic data and is made by ESRI, a leading producer of GIS technology. Training sessions are conducted by GEOMAP research associate Gretchen Knapp, one of two ESRI-authorized instructors in the State of Illinois.
