Illinois State University’s Board of Trustees today authorized FY2009 appropriations spending, an increase in pharmaceutical blanket purchase orders and a memorandum of understanding with the Illinois State University Foundation as well as recognized outgoing Student Trustee Ryan Cekander.
The Board authorized the University to use funds from internal allocations until the Board approves the FY2009 operating budget at their July meeting.
The Trustees approved an increase to $850,000 in FY2008 and $1.25 million in FY2009 for pharmaceuticals. The University has a 10-year contract with HD Smith for pharmaceuticals at the Student Health Services pharmacy.
The Board approved the agreement in the Memorandum of Understanding between the University and the Illinois State Foundation. The approval allows the chairman of the Board and the president of the University to sign the agreement on behalf of the University.
The Trustees expressed sincere appreciation for outgoing Student Trustee Ryan Cekander’s work on the Board and wished him success in all future endeavors.
