Illinois State University’s Department of Accounting recently honored 32 students for outstanding academic achievement. The various honors and scholarships are sponsored by businesses and individual donors and include monetary awards.
Award recipients include Katherine Anderson, LaGrange Park, winner of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Award; Ashley Brewer, Bloomington, winner of an Accounting Alumni Association Award James A. Hallam and a Herbert C. Sieg Scholarship Award; Nicholas Bright, Peoria, winner of the State Farm Award; Barrett Byers, Decatur, recipient of the Hartmarx Award; Adam Corbitt, Bloomington, winner of the COUNTRY Financial Award and an Alumni Golf Outing Award; Jenna Doran, Dwight, winner of the RSM McGladrey Award and a Max Rexroad Scholarship Award; Jennifer Eddy, Normal, recipient of a Herbert C. Sieg Scholarship Award; Brett Fox, Lisle, winner of the Keith & Kathi Martin Award Plante & Moran, PLLC; Lainey Frank, Eureka, recipient of an Alumni Golf Outing Award; and Bryan Geuther, Bloomington, recipient of the Dunbar, Breitweiser & Co., LLP Award and an Alumni Golf Outing Award.
Danielle Hoffman, Farmer City, was the winner of an Accounting Alumni Association Award James A. Hallam and the Sulaski and Webb Award; Scott Hoffman, Tinley Park, was the recipient of a Max Rexroad Scholarship Award; the KPMG Award was given to Michael Hoskins, Bloomington; Paul Huston, Peoria, was the recipient of the Clifton Gunderson LLP Award and an Alumni Golf Outing Award; Jodi Johnson, Gibson City, was the winner of the Kate King Wu & Horace C. Wu Scholarship Award; Audrey Karrick, Springfield, was named the recipient of the Kate King Wu & Horace C. Wu Scholarship Award and Outstanding Master of Professional Accountancy Award; Benjamin Katz, Chicago (Skokie), was the winner of the BIS Alumni Award; Wendi Kelson, Fairbury, was the winner of the Grant Thornton Award and a Herbert C. Sieg Scholarship Award; Timothy Kenwick, Naperville, was named the winner of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Award and an Alumni Golf Outing Award; Nicole Kitto, Rockford, was the winner of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Award and an Alumni Golf Outing Award.
Jarrad Koon, Canton, was the winner of the Caterpillar Inc. Award; Sarah Larkey, Princeton, was the recipient of a Max Rexroad Scholarship Award; Lisa Martin, Peoria, was the winner of the Deere & Company Award; Michael McLaughlin, Normal, was named the winner of the Outstanding Masters of Science in Accountancy Award and the Federation of Schools of Accountancy Award; Jennifer Meyer, Earlville, was a winner of an Alumni Golf Outing Award and a Herbert C. Sieg Scholarship Award; Tara Osterhoff, Kankakee, was named the winner of the BKD, LLP Award and an Alumni Golf Outing Award; Michele Pagana, Bloomington, was the recipient of the Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award; Joseph Pikel, Orland Park Prairie, was the winner of the Andersen Alumni Award Raymond W.
