Historian Stacy Cordery will discuss her book, Alice Roosevelt Longworth, From White House Princess to Washington Power Broker, on Thursday, March 27, at 2 p.m. on the Main Floor of Illinois State University’s Milner Library. The event is free and open to the public. Cordery will hold a book signing after her presentation.
Cordery’s book chronicles the private and political life of Alice Roosevelt Longworth, daughter of Theodore Roosevelt. Cordery is chair of the Department of History at Monmouth College and has done extensive research on the Roosevelt family. Her other published works include Theodore Roosevelt: In the Vanguard of the Modern.
Cordery’s presentation is sponsored by Illinois State’s Milner Library, Department of History and Women’s and Gender Studies program.
