Illinois State Awards Honors Program First-Year Scholarships

Kendal Farmer and Kelly Reabe of Bloomington, graduates of Normal Community High School; Susan Bicknell of Atlanta, a graduate of Olympia High School; Gregory Fairbank of Glen Ellyn, a graduate of Glenbard West High School; Danielle Piagentini of Chicago, a graduate of Guerin College Preparatory High School; Katherine Fulton of Saunemin, a graduate of Pontiac Township High School; Travis Yeo of Arlington Heights, a graduate of Buffalo Grove High School; Kelsey Baker, a graduate of Sandwich High School; and Ramo Stott, a graduate of Carthage High School; are among 27 incoming students at Illinois State University to receive an Honors First-Year Scholarship for 2007-08. The highly competitive $2,000 award is made to select students who have been admitted into the Honors Program.

The Honors Program supports academically talented students by offering individualized attention, opportunities to work one-on-one with professors, and a stimulating academic and social atmosphere often found only at elite liberal arts colleges.
