The University Program Board at Illinois State University was recognized by the National Association for Campus Activities for its programming and promotions during the NACA Mid America Regional Conference. The Board received an award in the Region’s Graphics Competition for Redbird Entertainment Committee Ticket Banner for the printed advertising theme of the large school division. They also won the Outstanding Series Program Ward in the large school division for the series Tuesdays with the UPB.
Tuesdays with the UPB, which was presented by the UPB during the spring 2007 semester, featured four rotating programs (the Faculty Lecture Series, Social Justice Movie Series, You Tell Us…, and Redbird Series Presents) and culminated with the original program, Things Your Mother Wouldn’t Want You To Do.
The National Association for Campus Activities is the nationwide organization that links higher education and entertaining communities in a business and learning partnership, creating educational and business opportunities for its student and professional members. The University Program Board at Illinois State University is an active member of NACA’s Mid America Region, which brings together members of programming boards of Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky and Illinois.
The University Program Board also had a student representative on NACA’s Mid America Regional Leadership Team. UPB representatives also presented at NACA’s Regional Conference,and had an article published in its nation-wide magazine.
