Mennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State University has been granted reaccreditation of its baccalaureate and master’s degree programs for the maximum term of 10 years by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

CCNE evaluators found that Mennonite College of Nursing met all the standards for the undergraduate and graduate programs, with no areas of weakness.  Areas of strength were noted in the college’s support services, faculty and administrative support and collegiality, administrative leadership, and preparation of graduates.

CCNE is officially recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national accreditation agency and ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate and graduate education programs preparing effective nurses. CCNE accreditation is a voluntary, self-regulatory process that encourages and supports ongoing self-assessment and quality improvement.

“Receiving reaccreditation from CCNE with no recommendations or concerns validates the quality of undergraduate and graduate nursing education that Mennonite College of Nursing provides,” said Sara Campbell, interim dean and professor at Mennonite. “Mennonite has outstanding faculty and staff who are committed to providing strongprograms. This reaccreditation reflects the work of everyone in the college.”
