The mysterious and beautiful Northern Lights are the subject of the new Illinois State University Planetarium show, Aurora, running weekends Feb. 8 - May 10. The visually stunning program investigates the mysterious aurora that has fascinated and frightened the inhabitants of northern lands throughout the ages.
Show times for Aurora are Fridays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Due to Illinois State’s spring break, there will be no shows on March 7, 8, 14 and 15. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for children ages 5-12 and seniors and $1.50 for children ages 3-4. Planetarium members are admitted free of charge. The Planetarium is located under the white domed roof on the corner of College Ave. and School St. in Normal.
