Stevenson Presidential Campaigns Subject of Presentation, March 18

“Let’s Talk Some Sense to the American People: Adlai Stevenson’s Presidential Campaigns” will be the topic of a presentation by historian and biographer Jean Baker on Tuesday, March 18, at 2:30 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Old Main Room.  The event is free and open to the public.  Baker will hold a book signing after her presentation.

Baker is a professor of history at Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland.  She has published numerous books and articles on subjects including political history, culture and women’s suffrage. She is the author of biographies of Mary Todd Lincoln, the Stevenson’s, and James Buchanan. Her current works include a new biography of Margaret Sanger and a biographical series on women with Ellen Dubois.
