The International Business Program in Illinois State University’s College of Business has been officially certified by the Consortium for Undergraduate International Business Education (CUIBE).  CUIBE certification recognizes excellence and leadership in international business education.

With the certification, Illinois State’s International Business Program has been granted full membership status in CUIBE, which is comprised of nationally recognized international business programs at universities across the United States.  The consortium works to improve delivery of educational programs that develop the appropriate skills and knowledge necessary for graduates to function effectively in a global business environment.  Consortium members share teaching and research information with partner institutions and the broader business education community.

Illinois State’s International Business Program has a strong commitment to integrating social responsibility across the curriculum and providing students with in-depth international education opportunities.

“Having the only international business major at a public university in Illinois puts us in a leadership position and signals that we take all aspects of globalization and international business seriously,” said Iris Varner, director of the International Business Program. “Through our membership in CUIBE, and by being a signatory to the United Nations-sponsored Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), we impress upon our students and graduates, the future business leaders in the country, the importance of ethical behavior.”
