Western Illinois University clarinetist Eric Ginsberg will give a master class and present a recital at Illinois State University beginning at 11 a.m. in Kemp Recital Hall. Admission is free and open to the public. The recital will begin at 12:30 p.m.
A member of the WIU faculty for 12 years, Ginsberg previously was a visiting professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has played in the Oklahoma Symphony, the Chamber Orchestra of Oklahoma City, the Lincoln Symphony and the Omaha Symphony. He has free-lanced in New York City with the Goldman Band, New York City Ballet and the Brooklyn Philharmonic, and has played at the Aspen and Spoleto festivals, with the Con Spirito Woodwind Quintet and the Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra.
Ginsberg received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at The Juilliard School.
