Civic Chorale to Perform Opera Choruses

The Illinois State University Civic Chorale and Concert Choir will present a program of eight well-known choruses from operas in a free 8 p.m. concert Monday, April 15.  The Concert choir will perform two of Loulenc’s “Lend Motets” and the student vocal group Belle Voix will perform several contemporary pieces.

Civic Choral soloists, performing works from “Carmen,” “Madame Butterfly,” “Dido and Aeneas,” “Nabucco,” “Prince Igor” and others will be Karyl Carlson, Kassy Krause, Melissa Hueneburg, Sarah Kaminski, Amy Feulner and Jeffrey Courtright.

Patty Foltz will be the pianist, Bethany Pedget, flautist; Taylor Nix, violinist; and Erin Stinson, organist.
