Illinois State University’s Tyler Clark, Rebekah Hertz and Tracy Deyell are the recipients of the Charles W. Bolen Award.  The $1,000 award honors the contributions of Bolen to the Senior Professionals of Illinois State.

Bolen served as the dean of the College of Fine Arts for 18 years.  After retiring, he founded the Senior Professionals as a resource for the University and community, serving as the first director and chair of the Board of Directors.  His leadership inspired the mentoring program for Honors students and the giving of annual awards.

Clark is a junior history/politics and government double major from Mahomet, Hertz is a senior nursing major from Buckingham and Deyell is a senior sociology/criminal justice sciences double major from Richmond, Ontario in Canada.

Students are selected based on community and/or campus service, with activities that contribute to personal and professional development.
