Green Team Establishes Environmental Stewardship Award

The Green Team has announced its first Environmental Stewardship Award to recognize exemplary skills and efforts in the area of environmental stewardship as it relates to campus and the surrounding communities. The award is open to any Illinois State University student, faculty, staff, department or registered student organization (RSO).

Research projects, ongoing environmental education programs, individual efforts and innovative program implementation are just few of the efforts that are acceptable for recognition. Projects applying must support and be related to Educating Illinois Action 10, and will be evaluated based on the following criteria: sustainability, creativity, environmental impact on the University Community, and the organization and cohesiveness of the project.

Award recipient(s) will receive a certificate of recognition and a $500 award used toward further advancement of current environmental efforts at Illinois State University.
