Illinois State University's College of Education has selected the
2006-2007 Bowman Fellows. The Fellows tutor and mentor in Bloomington-Normal
middle and high schools, engage in mentoring relationships with local
professional leaders and participate in Baldridge leadership training. The
Fellows receive a book scholarship each semester.
The Fellows, all part of the Minority Student Academic Center English Scholars program, received their award at a College of Education awards ceremony.
Ashanti Johnson is an elementary education major from Chicago, Christina Jones is a Spanish education major from Chicago, Robert Lega is an elementary education major from Glendale Heights, Aprilanne Lynch is an elementary education major from Zion, Christina Montgomery is an elementary education major from Dolton, Sarah Wesley is an elementary education major from Naperville, Cameo Williams is an elementary education major from Huntsville, Mo., and Charlee Zingraf is a sociology major from Schaumburg.
