BOT Approves Presidential Compensation

Illinois State University's Board of Trustees today set President Al Bowman's salary compensation at $274,250, effective July 1, 2006.

The Board reviewed the presidential compensation level in conjunction with its evaluation of the president's performance and determined that President Bowman "tirelessly and effectively served the interests of the University."

Bowman became Illinois State University's 17th president in July of 2004, after serving as interim president the previous year.
