The Thursday, Nov. 9, Global Review speaker at Illinois State
University will be Ebenie Adeniyi of ISU, speaking on "Nigeria: A Stumbling
democracy and its impact on West Africa and the United States" in the
Eleanor Kong Room of Walker Hall.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Adeniyi is a former professor in the School of Theatre who is now working on special projects through the Human Resources office at Illinois State. Born in Nigeria, he has always been interested in the developmental politics of Africa, especially the death of political leadership for sustainable economic growth in Nigeria.
The next Global Review presentation, on Nov. 30, will at 7 p.m. Nov. 30, featuring Gail Russ, professor of Strategic Management in ISU's College of Business, speaking on "The Horrific Effects of Avian Flu on Globalization."
The final Global Review of the semester will be on Dec. 7 on "The Recent Deaths of Russian Journalists," featuring Marat Abdukarimov, a Russian graduate student of psychology at ISU.
