Conference Services at Illinois State University has been recognized for their outstanding service by the Association of Collegiate Conference and Event Directors International. In December, the department was certified as a one-stop shop operation among universities internationally.

ACCED-I's One-Stop Shop is the industry's premier resource for defining and identifying conforming campus venues. Certification means that this institution is publicly recognized for adherence to advocated best practices. This streamlining of conferencing and events coordination is intended to more closely match the level of service provided by convention facilities and finer hotels.

Commenting on the program, ACCED-I executive director Deborah Blom said, "Our members coordinate the campus visits of nearly 5 million persons annually. The concept of one-stop shop certification originated with our membership because they believe it will help meeting planners to provide those millions of visitors a more predictable, enjoyable and enriching campus experience."

Illinois State University serves over 25,000 visitors every year. A range of groups visit our campus seeking to use Illinois State's resources and to attend ongoing programming.

"This certification only enhances Illinois State as an ideal destination for conferences and events," says Conference Services Director Rebecca Lee.
