Eleven Illinois State University College of Business students have been selected as Professional Sales Student Scholars. The Professional Sales Program within the College of Business helps students develop advanced sales-related skills and knowledge and encourages outstanding students to pursue professional sales careers.

Professional Sales Student Scholars are juniors and seniors who are chosen based on their exceptional academic records, involvement in extracurricular activities, leadership potential, and a personal nomination and endorsement by a faculty member.

Professional Sales Student Scholars receive a $1,000 scholarship award and the opportunity to enroll in an independent study course that provides four hours of academic credit in Marketing. As part of the independent study, Professional Sales Student Scholars provide mentoring and coaching to students enrolled in the Professional Sales program at Illinois State. Scholars also receive a comprehensive executive leadership assessment and further recognition as a University Sales Center Alliance Certified Sales Student, a national recognition program.
