Seven Illinois State University College of Business students have
been awarded Caterpillar Excellence Fund Scholarships for the 2006-2007
academic year. The scholarships, which come with a $1,000 cash award,
recognize students for their academic excellence and leadership qualities.
The scholarships are made possible through funds provided by the Caterpillar Foundation. The scholarship is open to full-time majors within the College of Business who have completed at least 30 semester hours and who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Student applicants must also complete an essay outlining their in-class and extra-curricular leadership activities.
Caterpillar Excellence Fund Scholarship winners for the 2006-2007 academic year are: Audrey Karrick, Springfield, senior Bachelor of Science/Master of Professional Accountancy major; Laura Meade, Canton, senior Finance, Insurance, and Economics major; Timothy Pantaleone, Normal, senior Finance major; Matthew Weber, Lincoln, senior Finance major; Elizabeth Heeren, Westville, junior Finance and Insurance major; Ashley Brewer, Bloomington, sophomore Bachelor of Science/Master of Professional Accountancy major; and Ryan Cullen, Champaign, sophomore Accounting – Business Information Systems sequence major.
