The severe snow and blizzard earlier this week delayed – but did not
cancel – the planned second annual Illinois State University Big Band
Valentine’s Dance which has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, March 2,
at the New Lafayette Club, 1602 S. Main Street in Bloomington.
Swing music, Latin dance styles from the 1930s and even ’80s rock are on the menu for the second annual Illinois State University Big Band Valentine’s Dance at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the New Lafayette Club, 1602 S. Main Street in Bloomington.
Jazz Ensembles I and II from the School of Music, directed by Tom Marko, will once again provide the music for the semi-formal dance party. Admission is $12 per person at the door. There will be no advanced ticket sales and the doors will open at 6:40. There will be a cash bar and the dance will last until 10 p.m.
