Kimberly Nance has been appointed as acting associate director of
Graduate Studies at Illinois State University for the 2006-2007 academic
year.
Nance's duties will include assisting in the implementation and monitoring
of academic standards and programs for teaching, research and service
related to graduate education. Nance will also serve as assistant chair for
the Graduate Council and help oversee graduate faculty membership, graduate
admissions and curriculum.
Nance has been a faculty member at Illinois State since 1986 in the
Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (formerly the Department
of Foreign Languages). She has served as that department's graduate
coordinator and, for the last three years, as its interim chair.
