The search for the next dean of Illinois State University’s College
of Business has been halted, and President Al Bowman says the process will
be restarted in January 2008.
“I want to thank the search committee, College of Business faculty, staff and students and other members of the University community who participated in this very competitive process,” Bowman said. “After reviewing extensive campus feedback regarding the candidates and consulting with Vice President for Academic Affairs John Presley, I have decided to renew the search once our next vice president for Academic Affairs has been appointed.” Presley announced in January that he will retire in December 2007. The search process for his replacement has already begun.
Bowman said he will appoint an interim College of Business dean within the next two weeks. Dixie Mills, who has served as dean for more than 10 years, will retire in July.
