Contact: Marc Lebovitz

A concert at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in the Bowling and Billiards Center at Illinois State University will raise money and awareness for the McLean County AIDS Task Force.

AIDStock, featuring the bands Bottle of Justus, Santa, The Hollow Earthlings, Acafellaz and an acoustic act by a member of The Minor League, is sponsored by the Student Volunteer Center at Illinois State. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the Student Volunteer Center or at the door. Anyone who donates two canned goods will received $1 off on the ticket price. Donated food also will go to the McLean County AIDS Task Force.

The Student Volunteer Center chose the AIDS Task Force as the agency they would work with in April and they are doing three programs for them. The food drive will benefit the severely depleted local food pantry, the AIDStock fundraising concert and and event called Dining In for AIDStock on April 25 and 26. The Student Volunteer Center is finalizing a list of restaurants that will participate in the event by donating a portion of proceeds from the evening’s meals. More information will follow.
